A better station. A better city.
Oslo Central Station sits at the heart of the Norwegian capital. It’s a meeting point between neighborhoods, a daily ritual for commuters, and the first impression of Oslo for countless visitors. 150,000 people pass through Oslo S every day.
But the capital has changed a lot since the station was built. With visitor numbers expected to increase significantly in the coming years, the station needs an upgrade — and that work must begin now.
A comprehensive transformation of the station and its surroundings
Nye Oslo S is about upgrading both the station and the urban spaces around it — creating a place that works better for travelers and for the city alike.
The proposal includes more open spaces and daylight, increased capacity and better passenger flow, greener and more welcoming public spaces, more urban life and new meeting places, and stronger connections to the surrounding neighborhoods.
The transformation of such a central part of the city affects many people — and we want to hear your thoughts on the proposal.
